For example, if you are looking to attend a hypnotherapy program, you can attend the programs that focus on this subject. Where a hypnotherapy course is also part of a NLP or Life Coaching program, the commonalities of these subjects are taught together and their differences are integrated so one subject enhances the other – Making you the best practitioner of these arts available.

In addition, we have designed our programs in modules that are designed to build upon each other so they may be attended separately for your convenience or depending on individual interest or specialty. How does NLP improve the Hypnotherapist?

Richard Bandler and John Grinder developed NLP in the mid 1970’s by modeling the most effective practitioners of communications, psychology and hypnotherapy. Bandler’s and Grinder’s deciphering the works of hypnotherapy legend Dr. Milton Erickson derived much of what NLP is today. Dr. Erickson practiced hypnosis for some 60 years and gave the field of hypnotherapy its creditability with The American Medical Association and American Psychological Association. The works of Dr. Erickson stand and shine for themselves as any one even remotely familiar with hypnosis and hypnotherapy have undoubtedly heard of his tremendous success in this field – and NLP is the source to learn his phenomenal skills.

Since our Neuro-Linguisitic Hypnotherapy® program exceeds the certification requirements of NLP developer Richard Bandler and The Society of NLP, this program awards these certifications signed by Dr. Bandler himself and integrates NLP with comprehensive in instruction in Clinical hypnosis that meets or exceeds certification requirements for membership and additional certification with the major hypnotherapy associations, you receive both individual certifications in hypnotherapy and NLP. In addition, the curriculum of this program is constructed so you can attend specialized certification program segments –such as Reiki. Reiki is an Asian energy healing art that will increase your healing ability and income potential. And ties into hypnotherapy nicely as hypnosis has its origins in the energy healing work of the father of hypnosis Franz Anton Mesmer. Additional certifications are awarded for each of these specialty segments.

How does NLP improve the Life Coach?

Life Coaching is now a popular self-employment profession birthed to help a person achieve their goals in life and business. A common life coach tries to educate and impart success strategies onto their clients and then holds them regularly accountable for acting on those strategies. While this may bring some success for some of average life coach’s clients, most of what stopping their clients from achieving their goals aren’t the lack of knowing what to consciously do, it is the unconscious programming of the client that is holding them back. In other words, subconsciously the client is not programmed to succeed in that area. How many hours of study is required to become a Life Coach or Hypnotherapist?

The hours of study in our 15-day Neuro-Linguistic Hypnotherapy^® or our 11-day Neuro-Linguistic Life Coaching^® programs exceed the requirements to become a Hypnotherapist or Life Coach. Each program's hours of study are just shy of the hours of study of a full time college semester. The hours are just condensed into consecutive days. You might refer to our schedule as a "condensed college semester" disguised as a fun-filled rejuvenating retreat. And we teach “state of art” skills in a “state of the art” fashion. Bennett/Stellar University’s instructors teach NLP, hypnosis and life coaching by using the accelerated instructional techniques inherent in NLP, hypnosis and life coaching. You can count on for every hour you spend in a Bennett/Stellar University program you easily receive twice the educational value as from a program where the instructors still use the more traditional or antiquated teaching methods. If you feel you need more hours of study we do have an option - You can enter our Masters Level for either of the above mentioned programs.

That being said there is much variation in opinions on how long a course in either hypnotherapy or life coaching should be to provide sufficient skills to be competent enough to practice. And since both fields are largely unregulated anyone’s opinion is legally legitimate. In the field of hypnotherapy you are likely see courses range in length from 24 – 700 hours of study. In the field of life coaching most of the courses are listed in total length of time not hours. For example, to complete a course you need to attend 2 years worth of study. Don’t be fooled by either.

In Bennett/Stellar University’s 15 year history, we have heard time and time again from students who had attended other programs that took twice as long to complete that they have learned more in just a few days in our course than they learned in their previous one. In fact, one student who had just completed a 250-hour hypnotherapy course audited just two days of Bennett/Stellar University’s program and said she learned more in those two days than the entire 250-hour program she had just completed.
