Fibromyalgia is a disorder characterized by widespread musculoskeletal pain accompanied by fatigue, sleep, memory and mood issues. Researchers believe that Fibromyalgia amplifies painful sensations by affecting the way your brain processes pain signals.
Who Gets Fibromyalgia?
Scientists estimate that Fibromyalgia affects 5 million Americans. For unknown reasons, between 80 and 90 percent of those diagnosed with Fibromyalgia are women; however, men and children also can be affected. Most people are diagnosed during middle age, although the symptoms often become present earlier in life. Many people who have Fibromyalgia also experience:
- Cognitive and memory problems
- Sleep disturbances
- Irritable bowel syndrome
- Painful menstrual periods
- Numbness or tingling of the extremities
- Restless legs syndrome
- Temperature sensitivity
- Sensitivity to loud noises or bright lights.
While there is no medical cure for Fibromyalgia, a variety of medications are prescribed to help control symptoms.
THE GOOD NEWS
In the following video you can hear the testimonial of a woman who was permanently relieved of her symptoms of this illness. Listen to her personal experience in the following video.
HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE?
Our instructor, Michael Bennett, refers to Fibromyalgia as the “Angel Disease” as many of the sufferers of this illness are people who have a difficult time of saying the word “No”. Feeling a need to do whatever someone asks of them leads to a part of the person which rebels and causes this phantom pain. This pain in turn disables the person from physically being able to comply. When this emotional condition is dealt with the mind then releases the Fibromyalgia sufferer from the pain.
The techniques used to help those who suffer from this illness and many others can be learned in our Life Transformation Coach Certification Program.
